VAD Fire Alarm Sound and Light Signal Effective Intensity and Light Distribution Test System

VAD Fire Alarm Sound and Light Signal Effective Intensity and Light Distribution Test System

The VAD fire alarm effective intensity and light distribution test system is designed for Voice Alarm Devices (VAD). VADs are essential components of fire alarm systems, widely used in commercial, industrial and residential buildings. The system measures C-x-y/W-x-y coverage volume, effective intensity and related parameters, compliant with GB26851, ANSI/UL1638-2023, AS-ISO-7240.23-2014, BS EN 54-23-2010. The GMS-2020A comprises GMS-2000S A-α goniophotometer, LUX-200F flash illuminance meter and related equipment for high angular resolution and fast dynamic light distribution scanning.

The GMS-2000S goniophotometer features a precision angle turntable with 300mm×300mm sample stage; the sample moves relative to the fixed detector in horizontal and vertical directions. Torsion-resistant frame and high-precision drive shafts ensure reproducibility and angle accuracy better than 0.1°. The LUX-200F flash illuminance meter is designed for flash and transient light source photometry, using 16-bit high-speed AD to capture light output and a microprocessor to analyse flash duration, flash frequency, effective intensity, instantaneous max/min intensity and average intensity.
